Sanjita Sunnam
Dr. Sanjita Sunnam is a board-certified endocrinologist with comprehensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of hormone-related and metabolic disorders. She earned her medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University, where she developed a strong foundation in complex adult medical care.
Dr. Sunnam went on to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Boston University, a program known for its rigorous clinical training and research excellence. She has extensive experience in treating thyroid disease, diabetes management, weight management, pituitary and adrenal disorders, bone disorders like osteoporosis and endocrine disorders during pregnancy.
She is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care and has a special interest in helping patients navigate chronic endocrine conditions through education, lifestyle support, and the latest therapeutic options. Dr. Sunnam’s goal is to provide the best care to all of her patients with compassion. She is determined to be the patient’s advocate and work with each of them to ensure an effective treatment plan. When not treating patients, Dr. Sunnam enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and photography.
