Meet Our Team

Dr. Filiberti is a graduate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He completed cardiology fellowship training in the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. He has practiced cardiology in Worcester, MA, for more than four decades and is well recognized for his vast experience and excellence in clinical practice. Dr. Filiberti is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease.

Over the course of his career, he has filled many roles. He was Acting Chief of Medicine at the Worcester City Hospital. At the Saint Vincent Hospital he has held leadership positions as the President of the Saint Vincent Hospital Physician Alliance, the President of the Saint Vincent Hospital Physician Organization, and the President of the Saint Vincent Hospital Medical Staff. He served a long tenure on the Saint Vincent Hospital Board of Trustees, in addition to numerous other committee appointments and assignments.  He is a past Director of the Cardiac Care Unit at the hospital.

Dr. Filiberti’s practice focuses on adult general and interventional cardiology. He is dedicated to providing the very best in patient care. One patient recently said this, “I waited a long time to see you, and when you entered the examination room I understood why. When the door closed, I was your only patient. That was 30 years ago.”

Dr. Filibert is passionate about teaching. He is a member of the Core Teaching Faculty at the Saint Vincent Hospital and is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. He is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in clinical teaching.
